Guntur –HIV/AIDS centre Established in 2006

Under Project ACT, the Guntur initiative began in 2005. Like most of the Freedom Foundation care initiatives, this too is the first large inpatient facility in Guntur- one of the most severely affected districts in Andhra Pradesh. Situated on the highway between Guntur & Vijaywada the centre stands as a beacon of hope for all those seeking care. The centre in a short span of 3 years has registered more than 8000 PLHA for care.

Capacity: The centre is equipped with 50 beds and an inhouse laboratory. An experienced team provides round the clock care including emergency services. Ambulance services are also available. The centre is a bee hive of activity at all times and PLHA come from far and wide to seek services.

Objectives:

  • Basic Diagnostics and link to tertiary care centers.
  • Management of Opportunistic Infections
